These dwindling minds surrounded by repression no more,
come again into the inviting window of forgiveness,
only to be shut out by the darkness and the black light,
These children grasping for the oxygen under water,
bubbles of hope and color,
moist with the scent of satisfaction,
They slip from our fingers so fast,
so fast, too fast,
as if we almost had it all,
Don’t ever surrender,
for your heart knows what’s right,
but the key is to follow it,
down that scary, dangerous path,
as society has led us to believe.
